Who’s Heading The Youth Olympic Games Inspection

Former pole vaulter champion Sergey Bubka will head down to Singapore to lead the Youth Olympic Games preparation. The International Olympic Committee (IOC) member Bubka is now appointed the chairman of an eight-man coordination commission.

In case you don’t know what is the purpose of coordination commissions do in Olympic Games, they are formed shortly after the election of a host city so as to help them oversee and assist the Organizing Committee to work towards making the Olympic Games happened. The Youth Olympic Games would cost around $30 million, with 3200 participating athletes, aged 14-18. It will be the first Youth Olympics ever in 2010.
