Former pole vaulter champion Sergey Bubka will head down to Singapore to lead the Youth Olympic Games preparation. The International Olympic Committee (IOC) member Bubka is now appointed the chairman of an eight-man coordination commission.

The Youth Olympic Games would cost around $30 million, with 3200 participating athletes, aged 14-18. It will be the first Youth Olympics ever in 2010.
