Posted on 21 February 2008 by admin

We are proud to announce that Singapore has won the bid to Youth Olympic Games 2010!

The result was announced by IOC president Jacques Rogge at the Olympic Museum in Lausanne at 7pm, 21st February 2008.

This is one event that would mark in Singapore’s history. Even though Singapore may be the one of the smallest country in the world, it is still given a chance to host this significant event.

“By choosing Singapore, the IOC has declared that it is possible for small young cities like Singapore to host the Olympic movement,” said Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong.

It seems that all the work will begin from tomorrow onwards, 22nd February 2008. Forming of the Olympics organizing committee and planning out the Olympics development would begin without any seconds to lose. This shows our committment towards the Youth Olympics and we will take this opportunity to show the world what we are capable of.
